The Last Sail of the Year

this is the final voyage of the sail-ship "Sandra Lynn"
She and her crew (dave, steve and rick) departed Turkey point for a 5 hour voyage through the waters of Lake Erie.
Distance covered : 44 light years (aka kilometers)
Top speed: Warp 14 (aka Kph)
and now she rests comfortably upon her trailer, waiting for the season to start all over agian next year.

20 yards out of the marina at turkey point this long weekend and we experienced disaster!
the cable that retracts the steel swing keel broke, Not good! in the big waves it was very dangerous and could have done serious damage. we turned around and got back in ASAP.
Got it on the trailer and brought it home. the solution was to tip it over near shore and fix it there. Thanks to everyone at the sailing club that helped, but the job definitely could not get done without Steve and Rick. Thanks!
