Walls are down, dust is everywhere....

Old plumbing is out - thanks to Kaitlyn's hard work

Bro in law eric arrives tomorrow to help carry this thing on to the finish line....

Kitchen Reno Day 1 !!!!

Thanks to the help of Craig and Jamie last night...

This is what my kitchen looks like now.
Unfortunately despite the best efforts,,, the house is still full of dust..

Kitchen Reno Sat. Feb 18.

6 more days till the real fun begins.
today we moved all the stuff out of the kitchen, so we are living in the dinning room.
knocked a few holes in walls so the gas line can get moved.
This friday the demolition starts.


Izzy likes playing in and around all the cupboards.

Kitchen Update Feb 12th

things are progressing.

The dinning room is filling up with assembled cabinets.
The dumpster arrives tomorrow, Home Depot screwed up the order, and I have started to assemble some of the plumbing.

The Writing is on the Wall

Well... there is no turning back now!

I came home from work today and found this in my kitchen....

It seems with the pending doom of the walls (and everything else in the kitchen) my family saw fit to redecorate.....

They had loads of fun... it's not something a kid gets to do everyday... write with perm. makers on the kitchen walls.

On the other hand more cabinets got built today....

The RACE is On!!! (actually it's more like a kitchen than a race)

Well... it has begun.....

Last weekend I picked up all the cabinets (thanks for the help Craig!)
and have now begun the process of putting them togeter. by next weekend the dinning room will be filled with assembled cabinets.












This weekend we have lots going on, including Sandi and Kaitlyn over a some friends house taking care of their kids. and Jessica has a friend over for a sleep over here. So I let them build a fort out of the cardboard collection I am creating as I build the cabinets... this is their creation...
