Paintball !!!!!!

Some 8 years or so after my first paintball experience I got to do it again.

Except one thing different.

Last time despite my best efforts to dress in a way becoming of a weekend warrior running around the woods, the best I could come up with was an old pair of jeans and some faded shirt....which made me somewhat visible to those hunting me.

But not this time..

after shopping for paintballs and discovering a wide range of camouflage shirts, jackets and pants - I quickly came to the conclusion... that is what I needed... Then I looked at the price... No way!

Plan B - I went to the Wal-Mart fabric section, discovered an assortment of camouflage patterns. picked one, bought 4 yards of the stuff and went home and hunkered in behind the sewing machine to make my own (11pm to 1 am).

the result - well you judge.... personally, I'm pretty proud of the pants, shirt, pouch and head gear I made (for a fraction of the cost of buying it)

All in all... had a great time. got shot in the butt among other places, and hope to play again some time. (am considering buying a used gun)


I must admit, admitting to a bunch of guys with guns that I designed and sewed my own outfit did earn me some razzing! :)
