March Break 2007 - Ottawa Bound.........

We had the opportunity this March Break to spend a few days in Ottawa.

WE:
Started March Break with some Perogies - Home made with wpg cottage cheese......
visited the Parliament buildings, saw the house of common, the senate, the peace tower
the Mint, and we got to hold a $300,000 Gold Bar - well guarded :)
Saw Steve's house (that's Mr. Prime Minister to the rest of you)
Went to the Museum of Sci, and Tech - Really cool!!!!
Tried to Geo Cache, but were unsuccessful on both attempts.
Caught a wave pool in Kanata
And Hit the Hershey's Chocolate Factory on our way up to Ottawa, Came back with a Large bag of Hershey Almond Bars (Seconds)
And through it all....Martha (the GPS street Guide) took us safely the whole way, it was really weird not consulting a map, but just following her instructions.... (Thanks JM for loaning her to us)

Geo Caching, WPg and Paintball

Discovered a new hobby - Geo Caching

bought a small GPS unit on the weekend and havn't stopped since.
this afternoon, K, a friend of hers, Geo Pup and I went out on a hunt.
A fun several part hunt that took us all through an Embro cemitary and the surounding woods.

While it was a great day (warm) the snow was still very deep and hard to get through, we often fell in up to our hips.

Also had a visit out to Wpg in Feb...... Of course we had Perogies and the weather was brutal....
Mom's car that was stolen has been found, but it is unlikely she will get it back.

Got back from Wpg as sick as could be (along with Todd and Mom) but that didn't stop me from a game of paint ball on the weekend.
